This award “recognises the efforts of companies in nurturing and encouraging employees to make the most of their talents”.

Investor in People
The IIP Standard provides a framework that helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their people.

Initially accredited in 2004, Cairn successfully achieved IIP reaccredidation in 2007. The assessment in 2007 found that:

Development and Performance Review meetings
Every year, each employee will have a development meeting and a performance review meeting with their manager.

Development meeting
Formal and informal meetings, which focus purely on you, your personal development and how you can achieve your career aspirations.

Performance review meeting
A formal, open discussion about your performance. This includes the achievement of objectives and the development of competency over the past 12 months. It also gives you the opportunity to set new and challenging objectives for the year ahead.

Cairn’s wide selection of books, e-learning courses, videos and CD ROMs supports your development and helps you to achieve goals that are important to both you and Cairn. Enjoy our resources at home or in our quiet study area.
