Cairn – Vedanta transaction
In December 2011 we completed the sale of a 40% shareholding in Cairn India to Vedanta Resources for net proceeds of approximately $5.5 billion in cash. We are returning approximately $3.5 billion of the sale proceeds to shareholders.
