Overview

Cairn holds an 85% interest in the Joni-5 production sharing contract offshore southern Albania.

In 2007 Cairn acquired a 100% interest in Block Joni-5 through its acquisition of oil and gas company medOil. In 2009 Cairn assigned 15% of its interest in Block Joni-5 to Dyas B.V (a wholly owned subsidiary of SHV Holdings NV).

Cairn conducted a 3D seismic survey offshore Albania in 2009.
