Sangu Gas Field, Bangladesh
Cairn started a joint venture with Holland Sea Search in 1993. In 1996, we discovered the Sangu gas field in the Bay of Bengal. The first gas was produced from the Sangu platform in 1998.
In 2008 the Sangu gas field passed a landmark of 10 years on production, during which time it has consistently demonstrated an enviable record for safety and low cost production.
