Recruitment process

Recruitment at Cairn works for both the Company and candidate.

We like candidates to find out as much about the Company and its culture as we would like to find out about you. Throughout the process there is an opportunity to talk to and meet a cross section of Cairn people. The aim is to ensure that not only are you the best candidate for the role, but also to help decide if a career at Cairn is right for you.

At Cairn, we pride ourselves on offering an empowering, entrepreneurial, open and friendly environment and this is reflected in our recruitment and selection process.

We evaluate all CVs received for advertised positions to ensure skills and abilities match the vacancy. Normally, we conduct two interviews, the first is in person or by telephone and will be largely technical in nature. At the second, we will conduct a behavioural type interview, including a psychometric assessment, and may request that a presentation is made to a selection of Cairn people. At this stage, there is an opportunity to ask more questions about the Company and culture and meet people from across the business.
