Working responsibly

Employee relations

Our people are the foundation for our ongoing success, so we are committed to providing them with the best possible employee experience.

Managing our people

Our approach includes providing a safe, collaborative and positive work environment, recognising and rewarding employee contributions, providing opportunities for growth and development, and offering support to facilitate the delivery of our strategy and activities.

During 2017, we refreshed and redesigned our people management policies and rolled out a new ‘Group People Policy’, covering staff in all our offices.

Our initiatives are underpinned by our values of Respect, Relationships and Responsibility.

Management Bootcamp

We believe that effective people-management is the key to being a high-performing organisation. We use a tailored personal development programme – the ‘Management Bootcamp’ – to develop our people-managers. It provides the practical tools they need to support and motivate their teams to deliver optimum results.

Equality and diversity

We are committed to equality and diversity across the Cairn Group. We appreciate the important role that a diverse workforce plays in delivering our strategy, by broadening our skill base, bringing different perspectives and ideas, challenging norms and encouraging creativity.

Our People Management Policy outlines our approach to equality and diversity, and how it is implemented in recruitment and selection, training and development, and remuneration and benefits. We also have policies on disability, religion and belief, and the treatment of part-time employees.
